TPO Products and Applications

Over more than two decades, we have commercialized a number of different thermoplastic polyolefins to perform in a wide range of automotive exterior applications. Among the most popular current uses are:

  • bumper fascias
  • claddings
  • body side moldings
  • wheel flares
  • cowl grilles
  • box rail moldings
  • grilles
  • step pads
  • air dams
  • running board

Several series of SEQUEL® engineered polyolefins have been developed for the specific performance requirements of different exterior applications.

  • SEQUEL 1400: high flexural modulus combined with high melt flow rate, high impact resistance, paintability, low-temperature ductility, and excellent tensile strength. These are among the most versatile materials available for automotive exterior trim.

  • SEQUEL 1500: excellent mar resistance in unpainted applications.

  • SEQUEL 1700: high impact resistance and low coefficients of linear thermal expansion (CLTE) for dimensional stability.

  • SEQUEL 1800: high stiffness impact resistant polyolefins for engineering thermoplastic replacement.

INDURE® polyolefin alloys are designed to exhibit excellent surface durability, resisting scratches and marring in use, and minimizing in-plant damage during manufacture.

DEXPRO® TPOs are cost-effective solutions for applications that require a good balance of performance and processing properties.
