The economics of paint elimination are driving a growing trend toward precolored parts. Our Color Laboratories in Texas and Auburn Hills are dedicated to developing new appearances in unpainted applications and to matching and mastering current colors.

We have developed new looks for precolored parts, employing straight shades or incorporating special pigments to produce metallic effects. We understand the ability of grain/gloss combinations to produce high-, medium-, or low-gloss surfaces for use in automotive interiors or exteriors. We are examining ways of bringing molded-in color to a closer approximation of paint in both chroma and travel. And we can verify the effects of new colors on such performance properties as shrink, impact, weathering, and surface durability.

Our color resources enable us to develop and distribute master plaques for new colors. We can develop accent colors for existing paint masters. And we can assist designers in maintaining color harmony in environments that employ a variety of substrates with differing opacity and gloss.
